Delicious food, very flavorful and good portions for a reasonable price. Love all the different options that they offer for combo plates. They also have a mini mart inside. Must go check it out.

Great sig sig on weekends only. Call ahead! Better to go. Ample seating but no service, no water, no napkins, no silver ware. Sort of an empty cafeteria.

I have known about this place for several years, was in the area today so decided to try. The food was out in chafing dishes and looked very fresh. I not being familiar with alot of the dishes had to ask what several items were. I had a plate with a thicker noodle not sure what it's called and tried a spicy pork and bbq chicken. The pork had a vinegar or slight lime taste to it, with pepper flake on it. It was slightly crispy, a little dry. The chicken was two large chunks on a skewer. It was very tasty. My husband had pancit noodles with diced up vegtables, lumpia and a delicious tender Kare Kare. For those not familiar with that dish, it is very tender oxtail in a peanut coconut sauce. This casual restaurant has a small store and also sells bakery items. We got some of those to go. We were there around 1:09pm it was filled with Pinoy so we knew we were in for a treat! You order at a counter get your food to go or eat there, friendly helpful service. My only negative is the food was just warm, I like my food very hot. When I eat my leftovers which there is alot of. I will definetly heat it up which may enhance the taste. The other negative is they are only open until 3:30. Another reason I've never been. So lunch time early would be best for hot and freshest. There are plenty of tables to sit at, the place is contemporary designed and clean.

I've been going to Orient for many years now, but after moving out of the Mira Mesa/Poway area, I honestly have not been back until just last week. And I gotta say I'm glad that 1) this place is still here especially since the pandemic took out a lot of mom and pop restaurants and 2) it's still very delicious! I remember coming here before because I loved their chicken dishes - specifically the Chicken Pastel, Chicken Afritada and Chicken Adobo. Their combos also come with the choice of garlic fried rice or pancit. Or better yet, half/half! And I recommend to get the half/half because the pancit is good (they use a mix of thin and thick noodles) but you also can't pass up garlic rice when it comes to Filipino food. During my recent stop here, I got the Kare Kare (made with Pata or ham hocks) and oh my...so good! I also got a classic Tortang Talong (eggplant omelet) and sweet and savory Chicken BBQ. All so good. The prices have gone up since the last time I was here...but c'mon so has everything else. But at least you can take solace in the fact that the food you will get is worth it! Sarap!

Orient Valley Filipino Cuisine is like a warm hug from your tita, but with better food. The lumpia is crispy, the adobo is full of flavor, and the halo-halo is a sweet, ice-cold masterpiece. It's the kind of place where you'll overeat, but it's totally worth it because who's counting calories when there's turon involved?

My boyfriend and I love their lumpia and turon! If you're in need of a party tray for potlucks and/or holidays, it's easy to order with them. You can call in the day of or days before to place a big order. The lumpia is always a hit with people of all ethnic backgrounds and the turon is long and has jackfruit in it too! I like air frying their turon more at home to get it crispier. They do fry it but just not crispy enough to my liking. They do a light sugar glaze over the turon so if you don't like it completely coated with sugar, you'll love it! The interior of the restaurant also sells other Filipino snacks and ingredients along with food you can choose to order to-go bento style. Look out for their hours because they can close early sometimes! They're located right next to Armstrong Garden (kind of tucked away if you pass by quickly). Thank you titas for always being so kind!

I've been coming to this mom and pop eatery for the last 10 years! My work place was down the street, so we ordered from here all the time! Recently came when they were open to introduce my friend to some homemade Filipino food! Yet, again I was blown away by the variety of food they had available. We got the sisig, kare kare, dinguguan, palabok, bbq skewers and the list kept on going. The service was great! They answered all our questions and recommended food options for us. The ambiance was your typical a la cart kitchen with fast/casual seating. The food all tasted really good. I would definitely be back to try other entrees!
